What I like about the technique is that it enables you to strike with a minimum of surface area (like the edge of hand) from a different angle of trajectory that's similar to the heel of hand or the chin jab. The down side of the technique is the possibility of injuring the thumb. In this clip, I show you how to tweak the technique so it minimizes that possibility. By simple arcing your strike slightly, you will minimize the chance of damaging the thumb and allow you to make contact with the correct area of the hand.
